Lake Dwellers Team Rider, Connor spent last week in Waco, TX competing at the Nautique Wake Open presented by Rockstar. On Thursday he competed at 10:30am with a strong cross wind that didn't allow the wakes to form, but scored a 83.33. Connor wasn't too happy with the way he rode but nonetheless he moved on to the finals. Friday morning they pulled up to the lake and the event organizers stopped everyone and made them park at the end, because it rained all night and left a huge mud hole. The organizers moved the starting dock to the other end of the lake and the tournament went on without a problem, besides the Rockstar RV sinking in the mud on the other side. Connor went on to ride and scored a 90 in the finals which landed him on top of the podium. He landed both his wake backs and tried his back flip which was not successful.Connor Aguilar Poggetto Wins Top Podium at the Nautique Wake Open Presented by Rockstar

At just 9 years old Cooper Tate is putting his mark in The USA Water Ski Record Books. Pictured above with World Record Slalom Ski holder Nate Smith at the 70th GOODE Water Ski National Championships, Cooper is no stranger to ski competitions. His father, Kyle Tate, 2011 Big Dawg World Champion, won his first National Championship at the age of 12. Like father like son, 2013 Cooper had a remarkable season winning 1st place in 49 of 50 competitions including the National Championship in boys 1 Slalom.
Building on last year’s success, Cooper began the first Competition of 2014, at The 70th GOODE Water Ski National Championships, going for the record on his first run at 35 off. He did it! Running 4 at 35 off setting a New Record. Feeling confident after his first run, he went on to reset the record to where it stands today of 5 buoys at 35 off on his 2nd run for Boys 1 Slalom.
“What is Lake Dwellers?” A question often asked that comes with many answers. I overheard someone once say, “It’s a clothing brand”. Yes, but it is much more than that. It’s a lifestyle. It is a very unique lifestyle that isn’t understood until you experience it, one that you can’t supplement or reproduce. It is a lifestyle that makes strangers friends and friends family. A lifestyle, that if only for the weekend, the anticipation leading into it makes the week days fly by. It is the memories the photos the freedom. It is the sun, the wind, the refreshing water. It is the drifting, the anchor down, the swimming. It is the boarding, the skiing, the tubing. It is going fast or taking your time. The late nights and early mornings. The good fishing and good eating. It is all that and more… It is the Lake.
The Lake Dwellers brand seeks to capture the spirit of the lake experience. Our goal is to be the answer to the question so many of us have asked ourselves, “What do I wear to the lake this weekend?” This will be the exciting part of our fashion adventure. Since its inception, the Lake Dwellers brand has come a long way in a short amount of time. We know that it is our friends and fellow Lake Dwellers excitement over our fresh water brand that has accelerated our early success. Keeping this in mind, it will always be our goal to stay in touch with the people and their needs for the lake.
